Coincidence? Multiple Monitors Go Out Today

While working today (January 26th @ about 1:00PM)  all of the sudden my apple studio display monitor went black. No restarting or anything worked. I took my laptop and conected to the computer and shared the screen, the core computer information states that no monitor is attached. GREAT!

I guess it was its time and thats all I equated it to. However, shortly after I was speaking with a design partner on about a project who lives about 45 minutes away. During the conversation he mentioned that his monitor went out and I had to question “What the heck!?”.

He has a different LCD monitor and around within 15 minutes of mine going out, his went dead too. That just seems a little crazy to me to find out two monitors that died within 15 minutes of eachother and that it was another person I know over business chat.

Has anyone else experienced this issue by chance?

  1. That’s crazy. The military could be testing some Electromagnetic Pulses. The only thing I can think of is that it was bad electric current or wiring. Were you using the same electricity from the same building?

Well I wouldn’t put it past the military since there are 5 installations/bases in Colorado Springs. However, it just appears to be a very strange coincidence as no other clients or people in network reported any similar issues. No, he was about 45 minutes away, different networks, everything. I suppose it is just those rare once in a lifetime potentials that occurred that begged for conspiracy =)
